My Work

With a degree in Communications and a minor in Environmental Studies, I have done a lot of writing during my 4 years at Denison. Below are a few of the works I am most proud of. I also had 3 articles published while I was an intern at Community Associations Institute, which you can find linked below! I have a strong skillset in academic research, creative writing, interviewing, and legislative writing techniques.

Virtuous Resilience

Linked below is my paper, Power in the Pauses, from my semester-long life story writing. This paper tells the story of my mom’s life, looking at her story through a lens of resilience.

Autoethnography

This paper, titled En Pointe and Under Pressure: Elegance in Restraint, Perfectionism, and the Solitude of Focus, details the research, narratives, and reflections on my journey of discipline and punish growing up as a pre-professional ballerina.

CAI Articles

I have linked below my articles from my internship experience at Community Associations Institute. This work was under the direction of projects from Laura Otto, my mentor at CAI. I tapped into my Environmental Studies interests and wrote about alternative gardening methods to conserve water usage, among other topics.
